SKin peels

There are many variations of skin peels and depth of activation within skin they target and concerns they treat. At MiSkin, we have an extensive range of active peels to cater to all skin types and concerns- some peels being superficial and gentle, through to mid-depth and highly active peels to stimulate cell renewal, rejuvenation and repair.

Your chosen skin peel will be determined by our knowledgable team and upon assessment of your skin. That’s whether it’s your first peel or regular peeling treatment that you have in conjunction with your Clinical Facial treatments to ensure suitability and results.

Skin peels offer an effective solution to a variety of skin conditions and concerns, such as acne, acne scarring, rosacea, hyperpigmentation including melasma, dull and lack-lustre skin, dehydration, photo ageing, skin ageing, irregular skin texture, and more.

Pricing below is for standalone treatments or additional layers of product for advanced and higher grade peels. Your Clinical Facials incorporate a peeling treatment where necessary.

FAQs

  • No, although higher grade peels can feel tingly or hot on the skin which is the peel activating as working positively! Your therapist should guide you through this and if too uncomfortable then the peel is immediately removed and/or neutralised.

  • Standalone treatments such as the above typically take about 30 minutes. If you are having a peel within a Clinical Facial, this is included in the treatment time of 1 hour.

  • The reaction of the skin post-treatment will depend on the type of peel chosen and your individual skin. It is very common to notice dryness or tightness of the skin, and you may also experience mild flakiness in some areas for a few days too. Rarely, you may experience crusting of the skin or slight swelling.

Appropriate skincare will be recommended on the day of your treatment to help accelerate the healing process, protect the skin from the environment and enhance your desired results. Your normal skincare programme can be resumed after day three, with more active products being introduced after day five or when the skin has returned to normal.
